An overall session attendance figure of more than 3,300 -- made by 106 onsite and 376 online participants over three days -- has been reported by the European Society of Radiology (ESR) for the ECR 2021 Summer Edition, which was held between 1 and 3 July.
The meeting was a good trial run for ECR 2022, which will also be both onsite and online, the society said in a statement issued on 7 July.
The meeting included a six-episode series called "Vienna Waits for You" with ESR Board of Directors Chair Prof. Dr. Michael Fuchsjäger of the Medical University Graz, Austria.
"It was great to see participants, speakers, and industry representatives all in one place after such a long time," said Dr. Christian Loewe, program director, of the Medical University of Vienna in the ESR statement. "You could really see just how we have all been craving this return to normality."
