Stuart Taylor becomes BJR editor in chief (medical)

The British Journal of Radiology (BJR), the flagship research journal of the British Institute of Radiology, has named Prof. Stuart Taylor as its new editor in chief (medical). The appointment took effect on 1 January.

Taylor is a professor at the Centre for Medical Imaging, University College London (UCL) in the U.K. He is also a senior investigator for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and chair of the National NIHR Imaging Group. His areas of special interest include developing and implementing imaging technologies for inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, and colorectal diagnosis and staging, particularly CT colonography.

Taylor replaces outgoing editor Dr. Simon Jackson, who held the post for eight years and served on the editorial board for over 14 years.

Taylor will work alongside Prof. Andrew Nisbet, head of medical physics and biomedical engineering at UCL, who continues in his role as editor in chief (scientific) at the BJR
