The British Institute of Radiology (BIR) said that its BJR|Case Reports journal has achieved its first-ever impact factor of 0.6.

BJR|Case Reports is an open access, case report journal published by the BIR as a resource for improving clinical practice and patient outcomes and to help to spread the word about rare or unusual clinical cases, noted Editor-in-Chief Giulia Zamboni, MD, of the University of Verona in Italy.

"We are delighted to reach this milestone as it will give recognition for this important article type," Zamboni said in a news release.

Zamboni thanked everyone involved in the publishing process.
