The British Journal of Radiology (BJR) has published an open-access collection of articles on functional imaging of the lung, with the goal of motivating further rapid progress in the field.
The collection of articles covers the latest research and clinical studies in the field of functional imaging of the lung. This collection will be an important point of reference for anyone with an interest in lung imaging and it highlights the key advances in management of these patients, according to the guest editors.
The articles focus on state-of-the-art technical developments and key observations in relation to lung function. They are complemented by commentaries covering developments in assessing lung function related to specific lung diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, pulmonary vascular disease, and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
The articles are guest-edited by Prof. Philippe Grenier of Foch Hospital in Suresnes, Paris; Prof. Eric Hoffman of the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City; Dr. Nicholas Screaton of the Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, U.K.; and Prof. Joon Beom Seo of the University of Ulsan College of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea.
