The company's new report states potential and current medical applications of 3D printing can be segmented into several categories, such as implants, surgical guides, bioengineering, and surgical instruments. The report predicts multiple growth trajectories between 2013 and 2019.
Overall, the report predicts the market for 3D printing in medical applications will develop at about a 15% compound annual growth rate (CAGR). The global market, valued at 315 million euros in 2012, will reach a value of 859 million euros by the end of 2019, the report predicts.
