The need to enhance healthcare delivery continues to expand the healthcare IT professional services market in Europe, despite budget cuts and end-user reluctance to invest in such services, according to a new report by market research firm Frost & Sullivan.
The company reported that this market segment earned revenues of 1.19 billion euros in 2011. It estimates that revenues will reach 1.45 billion euros in 2017.
Newer technology architecture and delivery models, such as cloud services, are expected to bolster the market. However, shrinking budgets will require that healthcare IT professional services providers offer cost-effective services that promote clinical and cost efficiencies.
The report, titled "Analysis of the European Healthcare IT Professional Services Market," includes research on consulting, training, integration and implementation, support, and maintenance services.
