X-ray technology developer Varex Imaging's Direct Conversion subsidiary has launched its Application Innovation Centre in Munich.
Designed to demonstrate Direct Conversion's photon-counting x-ray products to medical specialists, research experts, and healthcare industry representatives, the facility features laboratories that contain shielded and self-shielded x-ray equipment and a universal CT setup for medical feasibility studies, according to Varex.
Direct Conversion will also hold workshops, seminars, and training focused on its technology, as well as conduct ongoing proof-of-principle and proof-of-concept studies, the company said.
