Medical technology company Xcision Medical Systems has received the CE Mark for GammaPod, a stereotactic radiotherapy system designed for breast cancer treatment.
The company sold its first GammaPod system in Europe to Azienda Sanitaria Universitaria Integrata di Udine (ASUIUD) in Italy, which announced last year that it would purchase the system once it received the CE Mark. Xcision said it will feature GammaPod at the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) annual meeting in Milan.
