Royal Philips, the parent of Philips Healthcare, said it will introduce its IntelliSpace Radiation Oncology software at this week's European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) annual meeting in Milan.
Designed to speed up the time from patient referral to the beginning of treatment, the patient management software integrates applications and automates workflow in radiotherapy departments, according to the company. IntelliSpace Radiation Oncology enables all steps in the department's workflow to be integrated into one vendor-agnostic platform, facilitating communication and harmonization across clinical teams, Philips said.
In other ESTRO 2019 announcements, Philips is also debuting Radiation Oncology Practice Management, a consultancy service that will support radiotherapy departments in identifying and acting on data-driven insights, the vendor said. Another new product is MR for Calculating Attenuation brain (MRCAT brain), simulation technology that automatically generates CT-like density information on a MR console from a single fast MR scan and artificial intelligence (AI), Philips said.
All three offerings are being shown as works-in-progress.
