Oncology Systems has installed its MacroMedics EagleBoard at Southend University Hospital National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust.
EagleBoard offers Southend an easier setup for patients undergoing radiotherapy to the chest or abdomen region, including patients with lung and esophageal cancer, the firm said.
The tapered design on the EagleBoard allows for maximum CT bore clearance and has MR-safe materials. The "wings" are designed to fully support the upper arm, and the adjustable hand grips can also be fixed in a wide range of positions to achieve greater comfort, Oncology Systems added.
