Advanced visualization firm Sapheneia has named co-owner and board member Paul Stashick as CEO.
Stashick is a native of Ottawa, Canada, and has been involved in real estate development for more than 24 years, Sapheneia said. In his new position, Stashick will work to increase shareholder value while driving rapid growth, according to the company.
In a release, Stashick said that Sapheneia has multiple new product launches scheduled for the fall in the lead-up to RSNA 2013. The firm just executed two major ultrasound OEM contracts and expects a strong finish to 2013, he added.
Stashick also said that a series of recent press releases by a competitor (ContextVision) provided "misleading and overreaching" information regarding Sapheneia's corporate solvency. Its full product line remains completely available for customers worldwide, he said.
Sapheneia filed for bankruptcy on August 28.
