PACS developer Sectra has signed a new six-year contract with Swedish healthcare provider Region Skåne.
Under the deal valued at 55.8 million Swedish kronor (6.2 million euros), Sectra will provide development, maintenance, and support for its current region-wide Sectra IT system, which is being used in radiology, clinical physiology, nuclear medicine, and mammography. Region Skåne employs Sectra's complete RIS/PACS package, according to the vendor.
A project is now being conducted to consolidate all patient and examination data within the diagnostic imaging operations in Region Skåne, Sectra said. A total of eight databases are in the process of being migrated to a single database.
