Siemens Healthcare has secured the installation of its Magnetom Aera 1.5-tesla MR system at a Liverpool, U.K. hospital, the company said.
The installation expands Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust's cardiac MR imaging capabilities, reducing patient wait times and claustrophobia, according to Siemens.
Magnetom Aera features a 70-cm open bore for patient comfort, as well as postprocessing abilities that automate workflow. The system also includes Siemens' Tim 4G (Total imaging matrix) and Dot (Day optimizing throughput) technology.
