Dear AuntMinnieEurope Member,
The RSNA meeting drew to a close on Thursday, and most of this week’s newsletter is devoted to our round-up of the key highlights from Europe.
Spanish researchers unveiled some important findings on early-stage invasive breast cancer in older women. Also catching the attention of our editorial team was an Italian study about pediatric liver transplants.
A team from London presented details about how shape changes in the buttocks can indicate type 2 diabetes. Its MRI approach, called 3D statistical shape analysis, characterizes tissue morphology and localizes shape variation via statistical parametric maps, independent of volume.
Another point of note was Tuesday afternoon’s plenary session, “France Presents: New Frontiers in Personalised and Integrated Oncological Approaches.” Leading researchers showed how both diagnostic and interventional radiology can contribute to optimized patient care and improved outcomes.
Dr. Geraldine McGinty, who grew up and completed her medical training in Ireland, is a regular visitor to Europe. Her keynote talk on sustainability certainly struck a chord with many congress delegates.
Five members of our editorial team were onsite at McCormick Place. For further coverage from RSNA 2025, please visit the AuntMinnie.com Radcast.
