The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) has elected Dr. Louise Hanna of Velindre University NHS Trust in Cardiff, Wales, as its medical director for education and training, clinical oncology.
She will begin the three-year position term on 1 September, taking over from the current director, Dr. Rachel Cooper.
Hanna will be responsible for all aspects of specialty training work of the RCR faculty, including Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) exams and delivering curriculum, the college said.
"Dr. Hanna's goal during her three-year term until 2026 will be to grow and support our non-urgical cancer workforce in innovative ways, ensuring the high-quality standards we have are sustained," the RCR noted in a statement.
