"What a nice present!" said Dr. Gabriel Krestin, PhD, professor emeritus of radiology, Erasmus MC -- University Medical Centre Rotterdam, the Netherlands. "I feel really honored and happy – particularly because Erasmus MC was awarded the Most Influential Radiology Researcher award two years in a row! It shows that my work over the past almost 25 years was not for nothing."

Dr. Paola Clauser, PhD, from the Medical University of Vienna, who was elected the 2022 Radiology Rising Star by an expert panel of judges, was also extremely pleased about the prize.

"I got many very nice messages of congratulations!" she remarked. "We are lucky to have a group of smart, motivated residents to support us. I hope to be a good example for them, and that we'll keep on learning and growing together in the coming years."

The team behind the Scientific Paper of the Year -- Magnetic resonance imaging incidents are severely underreported: A finding in a multicentre interview survey -- have been in a celebratory mood too.

"The trophy has arrived here, whole and fine!" said lead author Johan Kihlberg, PhD, a radiographer at the Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV) in Linköping, Sweden. "This will catch an eye on MRI safety improvements. That's important, I think."
