Canadian intraoperative MRI technology developer IMRIS has received the CE Mark for its MR imaging and x-ray angiography suite, the Winnipeg, Manitoba, company said.
With the approval, IMRIS will immediately begin marketing two products in Europe: IMRISNV for stroke management and advanced neurovascular interventions and IMRIScardio for cardiovascular interventions.
IMRISNV features a 3-tesla MRI scanner and a biplane angiography system specifically designed to coexist in the same suite; during and after the exam, new MR images can be acquired to assess the effectiveness of the treatment. IMRIScardio features a 1.5-tesla MRI scanner that helps physicians visualize the cardiovascular system before, during, and after an intervention, according to IMRIS.
