The European Society of Radiology (ESR) and the European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research have launched the ESR Research Seed Grant Global Programme’s 2025 call for proposals.
This is a unique funding opportunity to advance the future of radiology across Europe, Central Asia, and Africa, according to the ESR.
Projects should address sustainability in radiology in three ways:
- Green radiology (lowering the carbon footprint of imaging equipment, digital transformation, waste reduction, and sustainable contrast media)
- Cost-effective imaging (value-based approaches, protocol optimization, standardization, and quality assurance)
- Workforce sustainability (professional development, education, workflow automation, and retention strategies)
Up to three seed grants will be awarded in 2025, in the amount of €14,000 per project for up to 24 months. The deadline is 15 June 2025.
