The European Society of Radiology (ESR) is encouraging all radiologists, radiographers, and supporting patients to join it in celebrating International Day of Radiology (IDoR 2024) on 8 November.
“On this day, we promote the seismic impact of radiology on medicine -- earlier detection, fewer surgeries, and game-changing treatment outcomes,” the ESR wrote in a post on its website.
IDoR 2024 is an opportunity not only to promote these benefits among colleagues in healthcare and the public at large but also for radiologists to reflect on them themselves, the ESR noted. The organization encouraged people to capture the spirit of the day by sharing their photos from IDoR 2024 festivities at their workplaces. The snapshots can be sent, along with a short description, to the ESR at [email protected], or with the hashtag #IdoR2024 on social media.
“Our favorite photos, tweets, and posts from the day will be shared on our ESR social media channels,” the ESR said.
