The German Roentgen Society (DRG) has highlighted that Prof. Dr. Sönke Langner received an honorary doctorate from Ovidius University of Constanța in Romania.
Langner, from Greifswald, is chairman of the DRG’s head-and-neck radiology working group and received the honor for his contributions to the cooperation between the DRG and Romania’s radiological societies. Since 2015, Langner has organized an annual MRI symposium in Romania and has also organized a continuing education event at two Romanian radiological congresses.
"Besides his impressive CV, his hundreds of scientific contributions, and his extraordinary work, Sönke Langner remains a person, a special colleague, a sincere friend, and a man of high intellectual and moral values," noted Prof. Dr. Doina Ecaterina Tofolean, dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Ovidius University.
