A U.K. National Health Service (NHS) hospital group is coming under fire for allegedly failing to report more than 11,000 x-rays.
According to an 2 August report in the Birmingham Mail, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has failed to read and report on patient x-rays taken for a number of health issues. The scans date back to January.
The Care Quality Commission found the x-ray omissions during an unannounced inspection to the Trust on 27 July at the radiology departments of the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch, Worcestershire Royal Hospital, and Kidderminster Hospital.
