The Spanish Society of Medical Radiology (SERAM) has opened nominations for its 2019 radiology awards.
The board of directors will present awards to radiologists and those who have played a prominent role in support of the field. Award categories include the following:
- Radiology professionals. Radiologists who have offered significant contributions to the development and establishment of medical imaging in radiology. SERAM is giving out three awards for this category.
- Service to radiology. The group of individuals that in 2019 produced the most influential invention, project, or activity to improve the practice of radiology.
- Friend of radiology. The group or institution from a field outside of radiology that has most supported the radiological society.
- Partner of radiology. The group or institution within the industry that has most effectively supported the radiological society.
- Research in radiology. The radiologist who has conducted the best research project with results published or accepted for publication in a scientific journal in 2018.
The society will accept nominations until 19 September and will announce award recipients on 8 November.
