Medical device company Alphatec Holdings (ATEC) has canceled its plans to acquire orthopedic digital imaging technology developer EOS Imaging.
The move is a result of Alphatec's assessment of the COVID-19 pandemic's effect on EOS Imaging, EOS said.
"EOS disagrees with Alphatec's analysis and considers that while the COVID-19 pandemic has a short-term impact on EOS, in line with our industry, this crisis does not impact the long-term perspective of the company," it said in a statement issued on 27 April.
The EOS board of directors is exploring "all available options," the company said.
