The Fraunhofer Institute for Medical Imaging Computing (MEVIS) and the University of Bremen in Germany are collaborating on a new study area that focuses on medical computing.
Offered for the first time this winter semester within the university's faculty of mathematics/computer science, the new study focus is designed to reflect groundbreaking developments in the field of medical computing, according to the institute. Students will, for example, be able to gain insights into medical image processing and methods that can help physicians to analyze complex situations, Fraunhofer MEVIS said. Clinical staff will also come to the university and be integrated into the teaching operations.
