Image management software developer BridgeHead Software is partnering with Insignia Medical Systems to provide its data migration and application retirement software to existing and prospective Insignia customers.
Insignia and BridgeHead will help healthcare providers realize benefits of aggregating and centralizing patient and administrative data. Insignia will support medical images with its InSight PACS application, while BridgeHead's HealthStore will provide a central repository for all other healthcare data.
HealthStore allows patient and administrative information to be made directly available to electronic patient records. The partnership also enables old software to be decommissioned, reducing the associated costs and overhead, as well as mitigating security risks often linked to legacy systems, such as ransomware and malware, according to the firms.
