The U.K.'s National Institute for Health Research Bristol Biomedical Research Center (BRC) will launch a multimedia art exhibit centered on 3D-printed heart models and medical soundscapes on 1 February.
Entitled "Under the Microscope: Making the Invisible Visible," the exhibition consists of 3D-printed hearts based on MR images of patients with a congenital heart disease. The models are paired with sounds from an MRI system and a recording of a mother recounting her child's heart transplant.
Artist Sofie Layton, cardiologist Dr. Giovanni Biglino, and sound artist Jules Maxwell collaborated on the project.
