Increased sales powered orthopedic digital radiography (DR) developer EOS Imaging to a double-digit increase in revenue in the first quarter of 2017 (end-March 31).
Revenue increased 34% to 7.13 million euros ($7.6 million U.S.), compared with 5.3 million euros ($5.6 million U.S.) in the first quarter of 2016.
The company also recorded the sale of 14 EOS imaging systems in the first quarter, compared with 10 devices in the same quarter last year. The increase in the installed base positively influenced EOS' revenue from maintenance contracts, which rose by 41% to 1.4 million euros ($1.5 million U.S.) in the first quarter, compared with $990,000 euros ($1.05 million U.S.) in the same quarter a year ago.
