Contrast agent manufacturer Guerbet is celebrating its 90th year in business.
Guerbet was officially created in France on 15 November 1926, and now has 2,600 employees worldwide, according to the company. An international firm that generates 83% of its sales outside of France, Guerbet has four main businesses: MRI contrast agents, x-ray contrast agents, interventional radiology and theranostics, and imaging solutions and services -- including medical devices such as contrast injectors. Guerbet doubled in size in 2015 following its acquisition of the contrast division of Mallinckrodt.
Guerbet initially celebrated its 90th anniversary at the French Radiology Congress (JFR) in Paris last month with the unveiling of a fresco featuring the outstanding dates in Guerbet's history. Over the coming months, Guerbet's sites worldwide will be organizing events associating their employees and their external audiences, according to the vendor.
