Swedish PACS vendor Sectra and digital pathology firm Visiopharm have agreed to provide open exchange of pathology images between their respective digital pathology systems.
The integration of the two systems will allow customers to work in the platform they consider best for the respective application, according to Sectra. The interface will be based on international standards such as DICOM and will be available from both companies in 2017, Sectra said.
