Agfa HealthCare has implemented a number of its enterprise imaging products at the VU University Medical Center Amsterdam.
Agfa said the site is the company's first large-scale enterprise imaging project in the Netherlands. Seven departments at VU University are already connected, with the rollout continuing for an additional 20 departments. VU Medical Center has approximately 7,000 staff members and some 750 beds spread across several interconnected buildings.
The contract includes Agfa's vendor-neutral archive (VNA) and Xero zero-footprint viewer, which will connect with the medical center's electronic medical record.
