Luminescence imaging technology developer Lightpoint Medical has inked an exclusive global license deal for molecular imaging technology being developed at the University of Arizona Center for Gamma-Ray Imaging.
The technology, called beta emission tomography, enables the miniaturization of a PET scanner for use in the operating room, according to the Chesham, England-based vendor. It will now be incorporated into Lightpoint's image-guided cancer surgery offering.
