Fujifilm Medical Systems has provided five FDR Go mobile digital radiography (DR) units to the new Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool, U.K.
The devices feature the first of the new generation D-EVO II C24i digital detectors to be installed in Europe. The mobile DR units are fitted with graphics designed to brighten up the wards and prevent children from feeling intimidated by the machines.
Alder Hey Children's Hospital opened its doors in October 2015, after a two-year rebuild costing 237 million pounds (about 326 million euros), and is the second-largest children's hospital in the U.K.
