Proton therapy provider Ion Beam Applications (IBA) said it has signed contracts with Proton Partners International to install three ProteusONE proton therapy systems in private clinics in the U.K.
One facility will be located in Newport, Wales, a second will be sited in Newcastle, England, and a third will be installed at a location to be identified later, IBA said.
The three projects are part of a framework agreement that IBA and Philips Healthcare signed in September 2014 to advance the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, and demonstrate the potential of collaboration between the two organizations, IBA said.
