Philips Healthcare parent company Royal Philips announced it will work with the U.K. Ministry of Defence on a new deployable CT scanner from Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group.
The latest version, the Philips Healthcare Ingenuity Elite 128-slice CT scanner, is on display on stand N8-178 in the Medical Zone during this week's Defence and Security Equipment International exhibition, held every two years in London.
The Marshall CT scanner is designed to be transported by land, sea, or air using both civil and military logistics chains. On arrival, the device can provide its first patient imagery within four hours.
Marshall, in partnership with Philips Healthcare, has delivered CT scanners to the French Military medical services (le service de santé des armées [SSA]), the Norwegian Defence Medical Services, and the U.K.
