Toshiba Medical Systems U.K. will lend its imaging support to this month's Glastonbury 2015 music festival, held 24 June to 29 June.
Toshiba will provide its Viamo portable ultrasound scanner to Festival Medical Services, the charity responsible for delivering medical care at the event. Viamo will be available 24 hours a day to a team of six consultant radiologists from major teaching facilities who will be onsite during the festival.
The medical team treated more than 4,000 festival attendees last year at an average of 600 patients per day. This year, three local hospitals in Bath, Yeovil, and Taunton will take referrals for major injuries.
