Proton Partners said it has appointed several global partners in its mission to build and equip three proton beam therapy cancer centers in the U.K.
Providers include proton therapy provider IBA, which will install its single-room proton therapy system, ProteusONE, in all three centers.
Philips Healthcare will deliver software and technology tools including its Pinnacle Treatment Planning system, which delivers a planning environment that simplifies workflow, the firm said. Philips will also provide big-bore CT scanners at each center and a PET/CT in the Cardiff center.
There was an exhaustive selection process, including hospitals in the U.K, and in Shreveport, LA, and represent the "quality and strength of our commitment to improve cancer treatment," Proton Partners said.
