Radiation therapy firm RaySearch Laboratories will be highlighting several new enhancements to its product line at next week's European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) Forum in Barcelona, Spain.
Version 4.7 of the RayStation treatment planning system adds multicriteria optimization (MCO) for proton pencil-beam scanning (PBS), according to the vendor. This new feature enables dosimetrists and physicians to plan treatments in a more interactive and exploratory way, RaySearch said.
RaySearch has also incorporated a wave-arc planning module into RayStation 4.7, enabling users to plan volumetric-modulated arc therapy (VMAT) treatments for Brainlab's Vero system.
In other product developments, RaySearch said it will be highlighting initiatives in carbon ion planning, improvements in plan protocols for automated planning, and general system improvements.
