The European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical, and Healthcare IT Industry (COCIR) has released energy-saving recommendations for users of CT scanners.
This new initiative is part of the organization's Self-Regulatory Initiative on eco-design, COCIR said. The COCIR methodology measures CT scanner energy consumption, which is then used to calculate available savings if the recommendations are implemented.
Users can download the recommendations as a PDF (4 MB) for free from the COCIR website.
