Malaysian advanced visualization software developer iGene has opened the first center in a planned network of digital autopsy facilities in the U.K.
The initial 3 million pound (3.6 million euro) digital autopsy facility will be housed at Sheffield's Medico-Legal Center. iGene said it plans to open the second center in Bradford in 2014.
The Sheffield center is equipped with an Optima CT540 scanner, according to GE Healthcare.
