Contract research laboratory Oncodesign and image reading services provider Banook Central Imaging have signed a collaboration agreement.
The partnership aims to provide clinical researchers with new biomarkers and validated image analysis protocols to yield a continuum from the preclinical to clinical phases of the development of anticancer therapies, according to the companies. Banook is a global service organization that provides medical image management for clinical research to academic centers, as well as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries.
Oncodesign and Banook said they expect to share expertise, copromote joint activities, and jointly engage in scientific collaboration to standardize image acquisition and analysis protocols in early clinical phases. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The first phase of the partnership will last three years, and the first results are expected by early 2014, the companies said.
