U.K. ultrasound training developer MedaPhor has appointed a new chairman.
Riccardo Pigliucci comes to MedaPhor with more than 30 years of experience of running both private and public technology companies, according to the firm. He has previously served as president and chief operating officer of Perkin-Elmer and CEO of Life Sciences International and Discovery Partners International. Most recently, Pigliucci was the lead director on the board of Dionex.
Pigliucci will help drive U.S. expansion of MedaPhor's lead product, ScanTrainer, a virtual reality-based ultrasound training simulator, according to the firm.
