Berlin-based Neo Q and Munich-based Deepc are teaming up to use artificial intelligence (AI) on radiology reporting with RadioReport.

The software maps the thought processes of experienced specialists and starts with anatomy to guide a physician through the entire radiology reporting process with 23 complete modules, similar to a virtual interview partner. The final result is a standardized, comprehensive report with 100% machine-readable content, according to the firms.

As part of the collaboration, RadioReport will be integrated into Deepc's AI platform, DeepcOS, which has more than 30 AI applications. The firm handles both the screening of all AI software and access for users through a universal interface. Radiologists will be able to access AI algorithms during the information technology (IT)-guided reporting process.

Neo Q and Deepc intend to establish new standards for a systematic and AI-supported radiology workflow with lower hurdles for use in clinical practice, they said.
