IEO to host conference on AI in breast radiology

The European Institute of Oncology (Istituto Europeo di Oncologia, IEO) will be hosting a conference on AI in breast radiology in Milan on 21 November.

The conference, titled "Artificial Intelligence in Breast Radiology: Clinical Innovation, Ethical-Legal Implications, and Social Impact,” aims to foster discussion about technological innovation and clinical and social needs, in order to shape the future of AI in the diagnosis and management of breast cancer, according to the IEO site.

Dr. Enrico Cassano is the program director, with Dr. Filippo Pesapane, PhD, serving as the program organizer. Dr. Pesapane and Dr. Silvia Penco are the scientific directors.

Programming will explore different aspects of AI in breast imaging, including the ethical and legal implications and responsibilities of AI utilization, the use of AI in different clinical settings, and implementation of AI in screening programs.
