Philips has announced it has signed a technology agreement with the Franciscus Gasthuis and Vlietland Hospital in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, for a "future-proof" operating suite and intervention center.
Under the agreement, the vendor will supply the hospital with its Azurion image-guided therapy system for four intervention and operating rooms as part of a new building scheduled to open in 2026.
The technology will enable minimally invasive and image-guided procedures by integrating x-ray images and information from small surgical devices, supported by advanced software, according to Philips.
