The European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) has highlighted key themes for its annual congress to be held from 19 to 23 October in Hamburg, emphasizing a plenary session titled “The Age of Theranostics.”
The session will explore the advancements and prospects of theranostics and describe its potential role in personalized cancer care, EANM said. In addition, the congress will provide extensive continuing medical education opportunities in the emerging field, including a dedicated track on applying theranostic innovations in clinical practice.
In addition, the annual congress is dedicated to actively engaging the organization’s youngest attendees, EANM said. The Young Professionals Lounge -- a space tailored for congress participants under 38 -- will return in this year’s edition and serve as a hub for networking, EANM said. In addition, the organization is granting 100 early-career professionals free registration and accommodation through its exclusive Next-Gen Program.
To address future workforce shortages, EANM has developed its "Initiatives in Nuclear Medicine to Support Professional Interest and Recruitment in Europe (INSPIRE)" program and an exhibit on the program will run throughout the duration of the meeting. INSPIRE by EANM aims to create an integrated framework of activities targeted at students, schools, universities, and other stakeholders to attract talent to nuclear medicine across Europe, thus securing the future of patient care, the association said.
