The World Molecular Imaging Society (WMIS) said that its World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC) scheduled for 7-10 October will now be a fully virtual event in order to protect the health and well-being of attendees, staff, and the public.
The live meeting had been set to be held in Prague. The society's program committee will now focus on creating a scientific program that will meet the expectations of the live meeting, according to WMIS. Speakers and industry sponsors will continue to be contacted to confirm their participation in WMIC Virtual 2020.
The virtual meeting's deadline for abstract submissions is June 10. Late-breaking submissions will be accepted until 15 July. Attendees who have already paid to attend WMIC 2020 may transfer their payment to next year's meeting or request a full refund at the society's website.
