A new European survey for radiologists and medical physicists is underway to gauge the interest of young healthcare professionals in education and training in cross-modality imaging, with a particular emphasis on SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and PET/MRI.
The survey is a joint collaboration between Thomas Beyer, PhD, a professor of physics of medical imaging and deputy head of the Center for Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering at the Medical University of Vienna; Dr. Lutz Freudenberg, a specialist in nuclear medicine and professor at the Center for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine in Grevenbroich, Germany; and AuntMinnieEurope.com.
"The survey consists of a set of questions related to your experience and expectations with regards to such training programs," according to the organizers. "The survey is open to any imaging expert interested in combined imaging."
All responses will be treated on an anonymous basis and in total confidence, they added. The plan is to summarize the findings and present them in a joint editorial, along with a follow-up in AuntMinnieEurope.com.
The survey will remain open until 15 October 2017 and will take around five minutes to complete, the organizers noted. Take the survey here.
