The Scottish government has reportedly made a final pay offer for 2021 to 2022 to Agenda for Change, the National Health Service's (NHS) pay system for all staff employed by NHS Health Boards.
The offer states that "staff on the pay bands 1 to 7 would receive at least a 4% pay rise compared to 2020/21" and that these payment increases will be "backdated to 1 December 2020 in recognition of an exceptional year of significant pressure for staff."
The government did not participate in the U.K. Pay Review Body process before making the offer, and it insists that it is underwriting the proposal from current funds, according to a press release issued on 15 April by the U.K. Society of Radiographers (SoR).
The SoR is sending links to its members working in the NHS in Scotland via email requesting feedback on the offer, and it will release results as soon as possible after the survey has closed, the organization said.
