The British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) said it is launching a survey of National Health Service (NHS) sonographers to find out more about their scope of practice.
The survey, called "Scope of UK Sonographer Practice 2021," is part of a wider Health Education England project looking at sonographers' career framework, workforce, regulation, and training. The survey is intended to provide a snapshot of what the U.K. NHS sonographer workforce is doing and how people feel about their current positions.
In a statement, BMUS encouraged sonographers who are currently practicing ultrasound in the NHS to complete the survey. The deadline for submitting responses is 30 April 2021.
