Sectra has signed an enterprise imaging contract with the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority.
The contract consists of a radiology module and a region-wide multimedia vendor-neutral archive (VNA) to store medical images and multimedia. The software will boost efficiency and collaboration across the region to allow for standardized work processes, according to the company. The software will also integrate with the region's electronic patient record (EPR).
South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority is the largest of the four healthcare regions in Norway and provides care to approximately three million people, Sectra said. To start, the radiology module will be used at Oslo University Hospital with other healthcare providers to follow.
The formal contract is subject to final signatures, which are expected before the end of this month.
